Immersive Exhibition – Klimt

Gianfranco Lannuzzi, Klimt, Massimiliano Siccardi, …

Description

You can't just see painting. You can for example walk through it and experience it immersively, as this exhibition at the L'Atelier des Lumières in Paris proves.

Visitors are invited to immerse themselves in the colorful and luminous works of Gustav Klimt and his contemporaries. The unusual exhibition takes visitors through hundred years of Viennese painting and highlights the works of Klimt and his successors. Typical portraits, landscapes, nudes, colors and gilding that revolutionized Viennese painting at the end of the nineteenth century.

140 projectors and a spatial sound system make it possible to experience the typical and unique images of Klimt in an unusual and expansive way. The paintings are projected on up to 3,300 square meters, from the floors over the ceilings to the 10-meter-high walls. Accompanying animations and a musical accompaniment seem to bring the works to life.

With the support of Culturespaces, the exhibition was designed by Gianfranco Iannuzzi, Renato Gatto and Massimiliano Siccardi. Luca Longobardi was responsible for the musical accompaniment.

Besides Klimt, another exhibition also deals with the works of Hundertwasser.
