BESTIVAL 2023: Berlin for Event Planners and Tourism Experts

BESTIVAL 2023 set itself the aim of enabling experiencing Berlin as a travel and event destination. In July 2023, the Berlin tourism and MICE industry invited event planners and tourism experts from Germany, Europe and the whole world to enjoy personal encounters and unique moments that are only possible in Berlin.

On the first day, the guests were received at the Heeresbäckerei building and at SAGE Beach in Berlin. Relevant topics focusing on MICE and tourism were showcased on two stages as presentations, panel talks and interviews. In addition, the programme offered a wide range of workshops, speed dating, a “fuck-up night”, concerts, walking acts, tastings and a lot more besides, in order to inspire the guests and encourage them to participate.

On the second day, participants immersed themselves in the capital city and explored the highlights of Berlin on 19 guided site inspection and experience tours, as well as more than 50 partner events.

BESTIVAL showed the many faces of Berlin through five worlds of experience: Sustainability, Lifestyle, Culture, Community and Innovation. The digital event platform of BESTIVAL was the central hub for the whole programme. Various tools for digital networking were available here, including virtual matchmaking, a text messenger and a networking score.

The event planning by BESL Eventagentur was certified in terms of sustainability according to the norm ISO 20121 by the inspection authority “GUTcert”. With more than 1000 visitors, the BESTIVAL is one of the world‘s greatest showcase events of a single destination.
