Description

For the iLight Singapore Festival 2019, ACTLD developed a multimedia show to mark the 200-year anniversary of Singapore. The designated venue was the Singapore River – a place that is of great historical significance for the nation. The result is a 14,500-square-metre multimedia show that becomes an organic landscape in its interplay with the Singapore skyline. Every night, scenes with water, light, music, projections and special effects bring the river to life.

The show bears the title “Bridges of Time” and tells the story of a traveller recording the 700-year-old history of Singapore. He travels through time and space and is curiously repeatedly drawn to a particular destination. The viewers experience a journey through the past, present and future and discover the timeless beauty of the island Singapore over the centuries. The multimedia show was realised using high-tech functions such as RGB lasers, more than 120 LED lights, a 250-metre mist system, 58 water features and a 16-metre-high and 55-metre-wide water screen.
