The Digital Forest was a space-spanning, living 3D mapping installation. It not only created an extraordinary sense of space, but also let the visitors participate in the biodiversity of the forest.
It was developed for an event of an IT service provider in the context of the World Economic Forum 2016 in Davos. The immersive installation imitated a real rainforest - with starry skies, passing clouds or even rain. Of course, animals were not to be missed. Using an app, visitors could create animals according to their individual specifications and let them fly freely in the digital forest. For each animal created, the organizer planted a tree.
