In order to support the image of the brand Sprite, Saatchi & Saatchi Ukraine took up two currently popular technologies: drones and artificial intelligence (AI). The result is a promotion campaign with the perhaps first “Drone Painter”.
For this purpose, the agency first built a website on which everyone could design a unique mural. This page also served to teach an AI-based algorithm how to draw.
In the next step, engineers developed software for a drone. It enabled the drone to analyze wind direction and speed in order to fly safely and stably in front of a wall. In addition, she was given the ability to combine elements and paint layer by layer. So she was finally able to spray a picture on a wall in Kiev without human control.
