eActros Summit: World Premiere of the eActros 600
Description
With the new eACTROS 600, a fully electric truck, MercedesBenz is seeking to herald a new age in the transport sector. In order to attract suitable attention at the world premiere, the handling agency Oliver Schrott Kommunikation had an unusual but logical idea: it was to take place at a truck stop.
The BREAK truck stop at Hamburg-Nordheide offered the ideal setting for this, right by the A7 motorway. The most modern truck stop in Europe with 150 truck parking spaces, 24 e-charging stations and a 1500 kWp PV system is orientated towards sustainable and forward-looking logistics. The “New eACTROS 600 Summit” took place there on five event days, spanning over 14,000 square metres.
During the main stage with LED installations geared towards revealing the new eACTROS 600, the sessions provided information about the development of the loading infrastructure for heavy-duty trucks and profitability, as well as current topics revolving around the sales and service of electric trucks. Seven interactive stations invited visitors to explore the world of electromobility themselves. A live broadcast of the premiere and a subsequent Q&A talk for media representatives extended the event beyond the truck stop.
