Enter Science: The Future Talk
Description
The first talk about the future in the event series ENTER SCIENCE took place in October 2022 at the Bundeskunsthalle Bonn (Federal Art Hall). The German Research Foundation (DFG) and Bundeskunsthalle Bonn issued invitations to discuss, under the title “Driven by algorithms”, whether digital media provides a wider scope for democracy and freedom. The aim was to speak to a young public between 25 and 35 years old on an equal footing about science and topics relevant for the future. The communication was intended to be interactive, scientific, as well as critical and authentic – and not least both analogue and digital.
For this purpose, Kreativ Konzept developed a concept with a targeted dramaturgical structure, which was designed to do the topic, the interested participants and the integrative requirements justice. The event started with an expert talk. This was followed by a discussion at the big table involving the public. A moderation duo established a connection between the scientists and the listeners. The female moderator accompanied the guests and what was happening on stage, while the male moderator interacted with the public, asked questions and called for votes. Surveys were carried out haptically with coloured balls and colour cards. A concluding get-together with the scientists in the foyer allowed personal conversation.
Graphic recording, a light show and musical accompaniment by jingles and trailers supported the content. Reactions on the livestream and social media were followed throughout the event and incorporated into the moderation in a targeted manner.
