“Fashion? What Makes Fashion Fashion?”: Exhibition

Vetterle's Wirtschaft

Description

The large national exhibition "Fashion? What Makes Fashion Fashion?" critically and at the same time entertainingly presents topics around fashion production, consumption and sustainability and illustrates the complexity of the phenomenon of fashion.

The exhibition shows fashion history from the 1950s until today. Among them are designs by famous designers such as Jean Paul Gaultier and Vivienne Westwood or classics by the fashion houses Chanel, Dior and Saint Laurent. Fashion magazines, fashion photographers and social media appearances by influential influencers provide an insight into fashion communication. Original clothes of fashion icons David Bowie and Jackie Kennedy as well as street style fashion and everyday clothing are also part of the large show.

Along the exhibition route, comprehensibly prepared content, participatory elements, interactive (media) stations and immersive spatial stagings make a visit to the museum a lasting experience.

At the same time, the "Junges Schloss" Children's Museum is showing the fashion exhibition "Ran an den Stoff!".
