“Found In Translation” – Interactive Installation

Description
For the exhibition "Translations" at 21_21 Design Sight in Tokyo, Studio TheGreenEyl developed the installation "Found in Translation" together with Google Creative Lab. This interactive and immersive installation is designed to allow visitors to visually trace the process of machine translation.
After visitors speak a sentence in their language, visualizations show how the machine learning model clusters words from different languages by semantic similarity. After that, translations are presented typographically and auditorily in 24 languages.
