The Fraunhofer Annual Conference 2017 was realized as a network of different events and modules. The aim was to reach the guests of the award ceremony as well as the public and customers. Therefor the concept consisted of several events and spaces: an extraordinary city tour, a touring exhibition, a merging website and the exclusive award ceremony.
During the city tour in Dresden, the stories of Fraunhofer and Dresden were brought together. At six locations, significant inventions were combined with the research results of the Fraunhofer Institute. Partly told by actors, staged with the help of facade projections or explained through discussions and exchanges.
In a touring exhibition, customers and employees were able to get to know the institute and its work haptically.
As part of the exclusive evening event and award ceremony, special projects were selected and staged in a real-digital way.
Connector of all three events was a new website. It serves as a first-time, theme-based access to all institutes and their research fields, explains particular projects and presents the Fraunhofer as a holistic brand.
