“The Impossible Parade”: virtual protest campaign against the exclusion of LGBT+ people

32 municipalities in Poland are still "LGBT-free zones". Due to so-called anti-LGBT resolutions, non-heteronormative people there are deliberately socially excluded and are not allowed to be themselves. To show people their support and bypass the resolutions, a special Pride Parade was organized for them: in the virtual universe of Over the Reality!

Over the Reality is a platform based on AR technology and geolocation that aims to connect the virtual world with the real one. The initiators of the action acquired there locations representing real addresses in all 32 LGBT-free zones in Poland. This allowed virtual protest marches to take place in places where they are actually prohibited.
