Description

How can attention be drawn to prejudices, injustices, opportunities and potential in connection with inclusion? How can one foster mutual understanding and provoke thought? The exhibition “INNOKLUSIO” by ATELIER BRÜCKNER provides an answer to this. It addresses the topic of inclusion at the workplace in an illuminating manner and is intended to prompt the questioning of previous attitudes and facts.

INNOKLUSIO consists of five inclusively designed walk-in cubes with interactive media stations and learning games that are distinct in terms of colour and theme. Each cube deals with a specific issue relating to inclusion, such as prejudices, accessibility and communicative interaction.

By addressing visitors personally, the exhibition seeks to incorporate them in an active way into what is happening. The green cube, for example, opens with the question “Are you ready to question yourself?”, while the pink coloured one provides an audiovisual illustration of various types of barrier, guided by the thought “What is in our way?”. The Black Box takes on a special role with its complete darkness, making it possible to experience life with a loss of vision.

INNOKLUSIO is conceived in German, English, German sign language and Braille and is accompanied by guides with and without a disability, in order to enable communication. Currently 14 companies are offering their spaces for the 200-square-metre mobile exhibition, which is also sponsored by the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs.
