Description

Kazakhstan presented itself at Expo 2020 as at the same time rich in tradition, modern and forward-looking. Visitors to the pavilion were introduced in a variety of ways to the yesterday, today and tomorrow of the country. As the emotional highlight, an impressive vision of life in the future awaited them in the final main show.

In the spirit of the EXPO motto “Connecting Minds, Creating the Future”, the handling agency insglueck created a future in which humans and artificial intelligence interact harmoniously. With a multimedia high-tech show including a 270-degree panoramic cinema and acrobatic interaction with a KUKA KR 240, the stage was set for the finely attuned interplay between a human and an “intelligent” robot.

With the help of spectacular show elements, pictorial worlds ansd sound installations, the boundaries of space and time were blurred and the viewers became co-pilots of this flight steered by artificial intelligence. A quantum computer launched the fictional journey. A person appears, a robot arm approaches them, the interaction begins: They embark on a journey together, created by their harmonious interplay unfolding.

The highly delicate and safe real-time interaction between an industrial robot and a human was particularly challenging, as well as the seamless connection to the media through the synchronisation exact to the second on just one timeline. The specially designed, elaborately programmed hand formed the interface for this – it symbolised the transition into a shared future.
