Description

Spaces cannot only be created through three-dimensional room design. Light, music and rhythm are just as important elements of a spatial experience. At the 2016 Architecture Biennale, the installation “lichtzeitraum” by Ueberholz was supposed to make this spatial feeling tangible.

Heartbeat tones together with changing LED light effects from cold and warm white should create an experience space in which the visitor feels right at home - and opens up to the experience and his feelings.

“Different lighting phases create wide spaces that make the expanse tangible. Other phases create narrow and cramped rooms that delimit and cramped.” The central design element is a window arrangement that adapts to the change in spatial suggestion.
