Logimat 2023: Interactive Exhibit
Description
LogiMAT takes place annually and is the largest intralogistics exhibition in Europe. The company Jungheinrich traditionally presents itself and its portfolio, from forklifts to fully automated warehousing systems, digital products and system solutions, on one of the largest stand areas.
An eye-catching exhibit was to be designed as part of the exhibition concept for the abstract topics of sustainability and e-mobility, which presents the content in a playful way. It was to be supervised by staff at the exhibition to be set up at a fixed location afterwards. The exhibit was intended to offer a visual wow effect, enable access for personal exploration and still provide sufficient in-depth content for discussions held at the fair.
The original concept was based on a table with an illuminated acrylic warehouse, featuring products and services by means of AR technology. This concept was developed further to enhance the long-distance effect. The physical products were placed in the warehouse world as translucent 3D prints and the offered services were presented by means of a large-scale horizontal LED video surface as a tabletop under the acrylic world. Tokens extend the exhibit: They could be removed from the warehouse world and placed on a designated surface that activated associated topics.
The topics were introduced with a little gamification feature before providing further content: for example with a game for active load management that allows users to select forklift vehicles for loading, in order to experience how loading management handles the various devices with optimal prioritisation within the available loading capacities.
