Description

At LogiMAT 2024, Jungheinrich wanted to position themselves not only as a supplier of intralogistics hardware but also as a comprehensive supplier for the whole field of intralogistics. The central message was: Jungheinrich offers more than “trucks” – it stands for an intelligent, networked warehouse world.

With a central exhibition stand element by SOLIDSENSE, AMT, Pool3 and wirmachenbunt, an interactive 3D model of an ideal warehouse world was developed and realised in a game engine. Visitors were able to explore the digital model independently at several stations and experience the networking of products, software and services. The structure followed a clear dramaturgy: visual orientation, interactive insights and thematic linking through various touchpoints. The centrepiece consisted of two transparent, interactive OLED monitor surfaces on each side respectively and an ultrawide screen behind it. The special feature was the combination of physical and digital components.

Interactions through touch on the front transparent OLED level influenced the content level behind it, whereby content jumped back and forth between the levels. In addition, context-related content was mapped on the physical warehouse model using AR. All four sides of the centrepiece were synchronised in terms of content and incorporated into the 3D world.

One of the challenges was realising the layered monitor levels, as well as the technical integration of the touch function through two transparent OLED displays. Precise coordination was necessary in order to avoid moiré effects. The structural construction with large overhangs and low tolerances was very demanding on planning and manufacturing. The centrepiece was supplemented by five satellite steles, coordinated with the individual product ranges. They extended the experience to further positions on the stand.
