Magic Forest Lenzerheide 2018 – Christmas Light Festival

Light festivals have become one of the most popular formats among public events. Almost every major city offers a program of light and art during the dark months to promote the region with entertainment features. However, among them there are still event concepts that stand out from the masses. The Magic Forest in the Lenzerheide is one such event. It has taken place annually since 2013 in the pre-Christmas period and is the only Christmas festival amidst nature and under an open sky. The Christmas event is realized with the support of Primocollective in Vaz in the Lenzerheide in Switzerland.

A circuit animated by light installations leads through the forest near the village. Varying national and international illumination artists transform the forest every year into an unconventional feast for the senses. At the end, visitors reach the little market village where the magic forest offers gastronomic options in a leisurely atmosphere and various other features. A children’s program and live concerts present a varied spectrum of events over around two weeks. 10% of the event budget is invested into marketing every year. The dedicated website is the hub of all activities surrounding print, online and social media.
