Description

The delicate, fascinating and multisensory installation "New Spring" was first seen at Milan Design Week in 2017 and was developed by Studio Swine for the fashion brand COS.

The installation shows a tree-like sculpture with extraordinary blossoms. They consist of soap bubbles filled with mist that float gently to the ground. On contact with the skin, they burst and release the mist. With special materials and gloves, however, they can be held in the hand and touched.

In terms of content, "New Spring" aims to reflect the optimism and renewal that comes from seasonality. A lifespan of emotions is to be captured in a moment, evoking memories of joy and vital energy.

The sculpture is not only reminiscent of a tree, it also refers to the ornate chandeliers of Italian palazzi and the architectural features of Milanese columns and arches.
