Samsung Smart Home Roadshow
Description
In order to enable an experience of the SmartThings ecosystem, SOLIDSENSE conceived a user-orientated roadshow. It was targeted towards millennials, Gen X and Gen Z and its purpose was to demonstrate how easy and cost-effective it can be to set up a smart home. The message was that devices from a wide range of manufacturers could be seamlessly bundled and controlled in a single app using SmartThings.
The centrepiece of the roadshow was a smart home experience that guided visitors around various stations. The interactive participation was initiated through a wheel of fortune prize game that invited registration and activation. Guests were received in the welcome area by the energy display wall. A guided tour demonstrated various smart home scenarios and enabled the visitors to experience how the networked devices could facilitate their everyday lives. Then they could individually try out controlling them via the app and adjusting them to their own requirements.
The event concept was based on a mobile apartment made of modular containers, representing the residential spaces of a kitchen, living room, study and entrance hall. The setup was supplemented by a reception counter and a partner wall in the outdoor area. The result, spanning a total of 60 square metres, was a compact, targeted brand world with a flexible but consistent visitor experience across different sites.
A premiere presented the first-time integration of over 60 smart devices from a wide range of manufacturers in a single system. Two visitor groups were able to take part at the same time without disturbing each other, due to the spatial and technical separation. The modular concept allowed rapid transport and a variety of usage possibilities.
