Opening Performance of the Turkish Technology Summit 2019

Since 2010, the Technology Summit of the Turkish mobile phone company Turkcell has brought together technology, art and philosophy. Every year around 10,000 people exchange ideas about future theories, technological innovations, research and personal success stories. This largest Turkish technology event is adorned with a correspondingly impressive set design and a remarkable stage performance.

The media agency Biseyler has been developing the stage design, the opening performance and the visual content of the event for three years. In 2019, they focused on the history of the event. The main performance artist in the opening story was a simple, single dancer.

The stage design was to create an impressive depth of space using a three-stage podium and angled LED screens. Overall, the back wall of the stage consisted of a 480 square meter LED area. The LED middle section, consisting of a one-piece area of ​​140 square meters, could be opened with a specially designed system. In order to take advantage of the entire stage with a width of 24 meters and to include other protagonists in addition to the dancer, it was supported by a movable catwalk.
