Spatial Installation “The shadow of the vapor”

The artist duo Adrien M & Claire B designed an exciting spatial installation called "The shadow of the vapor" for the foundation of the cognac producer Martell.

The extensive installation occupies the 900 square meter ground floor of the foundation like a living, slowly growing being. The inspiration was a yeast that covered the walls and ceilings there before the company building was renovated. The fungus was nourished by the natural evaporation of alcohol and the cognac produced there. It's an artistic tribute to the history and life of the rooms. Together with digital technology that incorporates the movements of the visitors, the artists aim to bring the shadows of the alcoholic haze to life.
