Thyssenkrupp Nucera: Rebranding Live Campaign

thyssenkrupp nucera offers an Alkaline Water Electrolysis (AWE) technology that is understood as an efficient solution for the production of green hydrogen on an industrial scale. On the occasion of the brand launch and flotation in the years 2022 and 2023, the company appointed onliveline to handle the comprehensive design and realisation of a strategic campaign. This comprised a variety of measures such as the development of brand name, the corporate design and narrative, media campaigns and a series of targeted events.
The start of the company‘s positioning was marked by name-giving and the launch of the corporate design on Capital Market Day on 13 January 2022. This was followed by undertaking a comprehensive media campaign from January 2022 to July 2023. Its key features were a visual aesthetic and storytelling to continuously reinforce the brand presence of thyssenkrupp nucera.
October 2022 saw the debut of a spatial brand concept at the European Hydrogen Week in Brussels, followed five months later by a political side event during BETD in Berlin, where the company discussed its role in the implementation of climate targets. A further highlight was the World Hydrogen Summit in Rotterdam in May 2023, where brand and technology were additionally presented in a virtual brand lounge, which is also used for training and recruitment.
The activities were concluded with the listing event broadcast on 7 July 2023 via livestream from the Frankfurt stock exchange and the Dortmund headquarters. A new forum format on the topic of “green hydrogen” was introduced, bringing relevant stakeholders together for future events.
