VR App “6×9”

The Mill

Description

6x9 is the Guardian's first virtual reality experience and an attempt at a different kind of journalism. It puts the viewer in solitary confinement in a US cell and tells, based on the experiences of six people, what psychological damage this can cause.

The VR app looks at what it feels like to spend 23 hours a day in a cell that is 6 x 9 feet. For days, weeks, months or even years! It tries to illustrate how inhuman such isolation is.
