“Wonderland Dreams”: Crazy 2D Experience by Alexa Meade

Artist Alexa Meade has a very typical painting style: she transforms our physical, three-dimensional world into a two-dimensional work of art. With "Wonderland Dreams" she designed a huge Instagram-worthy exhibition and handcrafted world of experience. In contrast to the many immersive exhibitions, the majority of which are projected, she only uses painterly handiwork.

Since October 2022, she has opened her latest exhibition Wonderland Dreams in New York City. The concept is not entirely new, but the scale of 26,000 square metres certainly is. Wonderland Dreams brings the story of Alice in Wonderland to life through painted art installations. A whimsical and interactive world that plays with perspectives and how we see art and reality.
